Default Factions professions and Nightfall?

I'm wondering if you purchase the standalone Nightfall, will you be able to play as the Assassin and Ritualist, or does it require the Factions campaign to be combined with Nighfall as well? (combined account?)

I know that Nightfall features new skills for these two Factions classes, but I wasn't too sure if Factions professions are playable from Nightfall alone.

Anyone know?

You need Factions to play the Factions specific professions. That would be the point of releasing them only in one chapter (so people buy that chapter).

You can't create a Nightfall Assassin or Ritualist, but there will be A and Rt enemies within Nightfall (bosses with the new elites, possibly normal enemies too), as well as being able to buy their new skills from trainers.

One would also assume that if you own Factions, Profession Changers in Elona will have the option for /A /Rt as well.

I didn't see any proffession changers with for assassin or rit during the preview, but I was able to change my heros secondary to assassin and rit. I don't know if everyone can change their heros secondary to that though....

Yes, but the preview was "noob island" if you excuse the dated terminology. Presumably the secondary profession changing NPC will come after the Nightfall equivalent of Ascending/Closer to the Stars.

Thank you all for clarifying this for me.
